Building Our Leadership Team

Texas Tortoise Organization is a newly established nonprofit dedicated to the conservation, protection, and rehabilitation of Texas tortoises and other reptiles. As a new organization, we are currently in the process of building our leadership team and organizational structure to support our mission effectively.

Current Board of Directors

Our initial Board of Directors consists of three committed individuals who have taken on key roles to guide the organization during its formative stages. These directors were registered with the State of Texas as part of our nonprofit formation.

Current Board Members:

  • President: Eloy Olvera

    • Eloy extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and conservation efforts. His leadership skills and dedication are vital to our mission.

  • Treasurer: Sherley J. Mendez

    • Mendez has a background in financial management and technology. His expertise ensures the financial integrity of our organization.

  • Secretary: M. L. Gonzalez

    • Gonzalez has experience in project management and community outreach. His contributions are crucial to our organizational development.

Expanding Our Team

As we grow, we are actively seeking additional board members and leadership team members who share our passion for conservation and wish to contribute their expertise. We recognize the importance of a strong and diverse leadership team to achieve our goals and ensure the success of our mission.
