Welcome to Texas Tortoise, a dedicated non-profit organization committed to the conservation and education of the Texas Tortoise (Gopherus berlandieri) and other native reptiles. Our organization was established in 2024 by a group of passionate individuals who recognized the need for focused efforts to protect these remarkable creatures and their habitats in the Rio Grande Valley of southern Texas.
